Assistant Professor position available at UNC Charlotte
The Department of Biological Sciences at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte (https://biology.charlotte.edu/) seeks applicants for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position with an expected start date of August 15th, 2026.
Required qualifications: The applicant will possess a Ph.D. in the biological sciences or related fields with an excellent record of innovative research and academic scholarship. The candidate is expected to have a record of postdoctoral training (or the equivalent) and peer-reviewed publications, the potential to secure extramural funding, and a commitment to teach undergraduate and graduate courses and mentor students. The department supports BA, BS, graduate certificate, MS, and PhD programs with a diverse body of faculty and students and prides itself on student hands-on training. Currently, the department is home to over a thousand undergraduate biology majors and 80 graduate students.
