A scientist using multidisciplinary approaches to study vector-borne pathogens and pathogen-host interactions is sought for a full-time tenure-track position at the level of Assistant or Associate Professor in the Department of Veterinary Microbiology and Pathology in the College of Veterinary Medicine at Washington State University, Pullman, WA. Faculty in the department are nationally and internationally recognized leaders in research on pathogens that cause significant disease in animals and humans, including those with potential for transmission at the human-animal interface. Additionally, close partnerships with scientists in the USDA-Agricultural Research Service unit housed within the department and scientists in the Paul G. Allen School for Global Health and the School of Molecular Biosciences offer numerous opportunities for collaborative research programs. We seek an individual using state-of-the-art technologies to study vector-borne pathogens that pose a significant health risk to animals and humans.
