An NIH-funded postdoctoral position is available in the laboratory of Katarzyna Zwolinska, PhD in the Microbiology and Immunology Department at the LSU Health Shreveport.

Our research focus on early events in the high-risk human papillomaviruses (HPVs) lifecycle. We study the late trafficking and the establishment of infection, the viral genome amplification and maintenance, and the host-virus interactions in basal keratinocytes of skin and mucosa. We combine cell culture infection model, high-resolution microscopy, molecular and cell biology techniques, and genomics and proteomics approaches.
The selected candidate will lead an independent research project while collaborating closely with other laboratory members. Responsibilities include conducting experiments, managing and visualizing data, preparing manuscripts, and contributing to research funding applications.
Requirements:
PhD in biological sciences and expertise in virology, cancer biology, or a related field.
