A postdoctoral researcher position is available to study viral pathogenesis and virus-host interactions of a wide range of pathogens, including arboviruses, paramyxoviruses, and poxviruses in the Lim lab at the Department of Microbiology at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai in New York, NY.

We are seeking highly motivated candidates with a Ph.D. in virology, immunology, cell biology, molecular biology, genetics, or a related field. Recent graduates with experience in virology are preferred. Expertise in animal models, bioinformatics and/or advanced genomics approaches (single-cell RNA-sequencing, spatial transcriptomics) is advantageous. The candidate will be expected to drive independent research projects in close consultation with the PI and to lead manuscripts for publication.

The candidate will join an existing team of researchers and will have the opportunity to be appointed to NIH-funded T32 training grants and to develop independent research projects. Individuals who intend to follow a career in academic science are especially encouraged to apply.

Compensation follows Mount Sinai post doctoral union guidelines, with a minimal annual salary of ~$74,000 with comprehensive benefits, and access to subsidized housing for up to 3 years.
