Postdoctoral Scholar – Structural Biology

The Xu Lab at The Ohio State University is seeking a highly motivated Postdoctoral Scholar with primary expertise in cryo-electron microscopy (cryo-EM). The position focuses on structural mechanisms of viral entry and cancer-associated glycoproteins and antibody–antigen interactions to support vaccine and therapeutic development.

Candidates with X-ray crystallography expertise and a strong publication record, along with demonstrated experience successfully leading multiple structural biology projects, will also be considered.

Qualifications

• Recent Ph.D. graduate in Structural Biology
• Strong expertise in cryo-EM
• Demonstrated, hands-on expertise in recombinant protein expression and purification, which is a critical core requirement of the position
• Strong publication record in peer-reviewed journals
• Proven ability to work independently with a strong work ethic, persistence, and consistent productivity
