MSU Research Foundation (MSURF) Postdoctoral Scholar

The laboratory of Dr. Dohun Pyeon (www.pyeonlab.org) at Michigan State University is recruiting an MSU Research Foundation Postdoctoral Scholar in the Department of Microbiology, Genetics, and Immunology and the Head and Neck Cancer Program at Henry Ford + MSU Health Sciences. The successful candidate will lead projects to define the mechanisms of immune evasion in cancer and to develop immunotherapies targeting newly discovered immune regulators, using patient specimens, mouse models, recombinant viruses, CRISPR screens, and single-cell analyses. This institutionally funded appointment provides an NIH NRSA-level salary with full MSU benefits, covered research supplies and meeting travel, membership in a university-wide postdoctoral cohort with dedicated career programming, and one-on-one mentoring toward K award submission and an independent research career. Candidates must hold a recent Ph.D. and/or M.D. in virology, immunology, cancer biology, or a related field, have no more than one year of prior postdoctoral training, and have at least one lead-author publication in a top-tier journal on a related topic.
